Henry the Hunchback

Henry the hunchback was born with a hump.
It makes him quite mad to have such a bump.

He looks quite shocking and unpleasant it seems.
When his parents first saw him they gasped and they screamed.

He tries to make friends at school and at play,
But they stare and point so he stays away.

He gets teased and poked, always made fun,
Hearing any laughter makes him want to run.

He wanders around, unsure where to go,
No fun in the desert, or in winter snow.

He wishes to be normal, just one of the crowd,
To not have this hump would make him quite proud.

But then one day a seed flew down from a tree,
And landed on Henry, though he did not see.

It sprouted some roots that grew deep in his hump,
There soon came a stem , then leaves and a stump.

And soon thereafter there blossomed a tree,
Full of leaves and birds and even some bees.

Soon little birds came to perch on his back,
A family of pigeons made a nest and unpacked.

He had squirrels and bugs, and owls that hoot,
And even a monkey that crawled up his boots.

Lizards and butterflies, animals galore,
He was soon very popular, alone no more.

Wally the Wolf Boy

Wally the wolf-boy was born full of fur,
covered head to clawed toe, at night he would stir.

Full as can be, he'd howl at the moon,
Run off in the night, and awaken at noon.

Hairless and cold, he'd wander back home,
and dread nights return,
When bloodthirsty he'd roam.

In search of his prey, he scours the streets,
Sniffing and drooling for human sized treats.

Again and again, the cycle anew,
Ashamed of himself, he searches for clues.

He almost gave up, when he tripped on a tooth,
Which sparked an idea
in the form of a phone booth.

He called up a dentist and scheduled a day,
to remove all of his teeth and take them away.

Sharp fangs no longer, he has extra dull dentures,
To chew only jellow and end his adventures.

Vinny the Vampire

Vinny the Vampire hated his race,
so he disowned his family and became a disgrace.

He hated bats and blood, and the darkness of night,
So he left his family for a different sight.

He preferred instead a life at the sea,
Sailing the world, sunny and free.

He had an umbrella so large to shield out the sun
So it wouldn’t burn him and ruin all his fun.

He went searching for treasure and caught many fish,
But he desperately wanted someone to share it all with.

He soon met a woman at the nearest port,
A ravishing woman of the mysterious sort.

They wined and they dined the whole night through.
Fully convinced their love was true.

They became quite a pair, but it would not last,
For soon they would learn of eachother's past.

On a dark, misty night there was a feeling of doom,
As Vinny lay sleeping, she entered his room.

He awoke with a gasp, clutching his throat,
Two small teeth marks, and an ominous note.

"My dear Vinny," he continued to read.
"I'm afraid I committed a dastardly deed."

"I thought you were human, not a monster like me."
"In knowing the truth, you see I must flee."

Vinny felt sad, having lost the girl he held dear.
He was full of grief and pain, and lost with fear.

But he sailed and he sailed the whole world round,
Finding many treasures, once lost now found.

He made many friends on land and at sea
Pirates and penguins, with polka dot feet .

But one fateful day a sea monster attacked
And pulled the ship under, all broken and cracked.

Vinny thought for sure that this was the end,
That his new life was over, but he soon found a friend.

Under the sea, hopeless and cold ,
There soon swam a woman shimmering gold

She had a fishy tail, a mermaid indeed
And came to save Vinny to do a good deed

She took him to shore and with a kiss he awoke
He was grateful to her that he didn’t choke

He’d never seen such a beauty in all of his life
And after awhile she became his new wife.

They became quite a match, and lived on the sea
And Vinny was as happy as a vampire could be.

Franky Swine

Franky swine is a mixed up pig.
He’s got a claw for a hand and one eye is too big.

Stitched and sewn, and incomplete,
He has two different hearts and zebra’s feet.

He was created by a scientist, who is quite mad,
And never loved Franky, never a dad.

So one fateful day he ran off on his own,
To fend for himself, scared and alone.

He feels like a monster, a pig no more,
Wherever he goes, people run out the door.

But then one day he met a small girl
Who said, “Hi Mister, my name is Pearl. “

She told Franky that she is very ill,
And doctors can’t cure her, at least not with a pill.

She needs a new heart, for hers is no good,
And Franky wanted to help, to do all he could.

So he offered a heart to the young girl in need,
And saved her life, saved it indeed.

Her mom was so happy she made Franky her son,
And he finally had family, and they didn’t even run….

Except for the cat.

Stan the Mummy

Stan the mummy lived in darkness and gloom,
His world was pitch black, for he was entombed.

All he wanted was to go out and play,
For thousands of years he's been locked away.

To smell the fresh air, and feel the warm sun.
Even some mummies still want to have fun.

He wished for a friend in this horrible place,
But they'd probably run upon seeing his face.

Then one fateful day a grave-robber broke in.
And got more than gold, but a mummy's proud grin.

"Thank you kind sir." The mummy decreed.
"You've opened my tomb and filled me with glee."

"For setting me free, you may take all my gold,
Treasures and riches, and all I behold."

"All I ask is to live in your home,
away from the torment alone in this dome."

The robber agreed with greedy haste,
Unaware that his treasure would soon go to waste.

For with one passing glance his family ran.
And all he had left was a mummy named Stan.
